the brothers hallsted computer consulting service
"if you need an opinion about computers, we'll give you ours!
if you don't need one, heck, we'll still give you our opinion!!!"
everyone likes freeware, especially good freeware. so if you need a freeware fix...
go here: mikey's freeware at softcom
go here: mikey's deepwell downloads
go here: mikey's 2xtreme downloads
there's enough freeware at those links to satisfy most tastes!!
and if you want to bypass the talk and warm fuzzies you get from reading reviews and descriptions, then this is the page you want:
download your brains out!
the 2xtreme and deepwell software are not listed on this page just yet.
do these words or phrases sound familiar to you??
cern html entities,
cern html named entities,
cern html character entities,
ISO 8859-1 characters...
yes!!
no!!!!!
huh???
forget this! i'm leaving!
ok, don't panic, it's just html code that you put in a web page so that the browser will display special characters!
ahhhhh... ain't that special! well, i wrote up this "named character entity" page for some strange reason, heck if i know why. but you
might be able to benefit from it, if you do web pages. most books that i have seen only give a partial list of the frequently used ones.
this is a more complete list. you be the judge! the cern html entities table!
the table gives both the html code and the character displayed. well, i liked it; but there is no accounting for personal taste.
for great justice!
all your base are belong to us...
now, could we call ourselves computer experts or internet gurus if we did not have a clue about the current trends on the www?!?!
well folks, it's sweeping the nation as we speak, so click the links and download the vidoes and see for yourself what all the hollering
and hoopla is about.
bored?!?
got some bandwidth!
want to look at some linux screenshots?
forget this! i'm leaving!
just one moment please.... i've recently found a linux distribution i like very much!!
Xandros Linux, Deluxe version. it's comes with
codeweavers' crossover office installed
and makes running windoze applications as easy as it comes. and if you have a little LAN of
windoze computers, xandros installs and configures everything for you so that browsing your LAN of
win9x/NT/2k/XP computers is just a matter of a couple of mouse clicks. pretty cool really...
it's a very (very) easy linux distribution to install, use, upgrade, and be happy with!
right... bored bandwidth screenshots.... i took many screenshots of windoze programs running on my xandros computer
using codeweavers' crossover office...
click here and be amazed!! or
got a computer question???
do you have a burning desire to see if we care??
well... what are you waiting for!!!
send us some email!!
then you too can have that deep, satisfied feeling of..... something. it's like a tingling sensation in the fingers,
but it could just be static electricity.
hey, at least we'll read your email. and if we have the faintest idea what you're talking about, then you'll hear back from us.
such a deal!! email me, michael at :
michael hallsted
if necessary, i'll consult with my brother, steven, and then get back to you. just please be descriptive about your problem,
i'm working on reading minds, but it gives me headaches, at least they don't last too long.
